The Craven Heifer country inn is owned by the Tarn Moor Trust.
The business is currently closed, following the liquidation of the former tenants, the Whitcut Consultancy Ltd. It is being marketed by agents, Atkinson Associates, who may be contacted for details of re-let or freehold sale.
The pub has thrived under a number of previous tenants. It is a familiar sight in its elevated position at the top of Tarn Moor, and has always been a popular stopping-off place, not only for walkers and cyclists visiting the Dales, but perhaps especially for Skipton locals and users of the nearby burial ground. The building used to be a farmhouse and associated complex, and it still retains many of the original character and features, like the “barn door” entrance to the main accommodation block.
For information on issues concerning ownership of the building, contact the Trustees’ Managing Agent using the details on the Contact page of this site.
